Slowly but surely recovering

by Beth
(Twinsburg, OHio)

If I had never seen an acupuncturist, I think I would be hospitalized at this point. I was suffering from severe GI distress and anxiety attacks in March of 2012, had so much fatigue that it was physically painful to get out of bed. I went to several doctors who couldn't pinpoint my problem because my symptoms changed daily. I was tested for pulmonary hypertension, brain tumor, had several EKGs, and no luck. I was treated for a (nonexistent) sinus infection when I came into the ER with severe vertigo. I should have known to not take the super high dose of amoxicillin when I felt immediate relief with an anti-depressant IV drug. I ended up taking the amoxicillin for two weeks, and my GI tract was much worse. After taking the whole regimen, my dizziness came back. I decided enough was enough, and saw my great friend Eric Snyder in Twinsburg Ohio, who is an amazing acupuncturist. I went to him because I knew that I had nowhere else to turn, and already spent thousands trying to get an answer from Western medicine doctors who told me that it was all in my head.

I saw him and he immediately knew that I was gluten intolerant, had a leaky gut, and had adrenal fatigue. I had blood stagnation, and was just a total mess. I am also allergic to fish/shellfish, citrus, caffeine, and milk. He started me on a gluten free diet, and I've seen him every two weeks for the past year. I was starting to feel like my old self again, when my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer. He died 5 months later, and that definitely took a toll on my recovery. 9 months after his passing, I am finally starting to see an upswing after sleeping most of the summer away and grieving. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel again! I am going for walks again, I am laughing like my old self again, and have a positive outlook on life. I urge anyone who has adrenal fatigue to visit Eric, or visit a very good one. I am healing myself with energy work, massage, and taking magnesium, calcium, Omega 3 Algae, ADB5 Plus, and Pregnenolone. Eric muscle tests me to make sure that I am not allergic to any other foods every time I come in, and also tests me with supplements to make sure what I take into my body does not harm it. This is the cheapest, most wholistic therapy I know, and I love it.

I hope anyone reading this has some hope for themselves, as I was in bad shape. I do know that you can get better, as I have such a great boyfriend and mother to help support me if I feel down. I live in a beautiful place, and am surrounded by nature. I also work at a place where I can laugh and have a good time.

If you feel stuck, get rid of or limit the things in your life that are stressful. You can overcome adrenal fatigue!
