I’ve been to so many doctors in the St. Louis, MO area it’s very discouraging, especially when you get in the burbs. Went to Dr. Schoenwalder (2017-2019), actually it was Kristina... in that time never met the doc. Nice people. But. They are basic. Compared to the ‘out-of-the-box" doctors on the East/West coasts and Canada (yes, great docs).
My journey started with Hashimoto’s diagnoses, then LS (lichen sclerosus), hey, back off autoimmune diseases. I can check off all the symptoms of adrenal fatigue but no diagnosis.
Thank you user SCHMOE for all the info, it’s a great place to start.
Wanted to mention that I’m seeing a newish doctor in Kirkwood, MO area, Dr. Strong. She is open minded and kind. I took a microbiome test here, results any day now. I’m sorry to say, that at this writing she doesn’t take insurance.Keep in mind, I’ve had to finagle finances to go, but expense now or later and at what cost?
I canceled an appt with Dr. Tipu Sultan, to go to Dr. Strong. Hope to learn more. ~thinker

Adrenal Fatigue Doctor?

Still looking for adrenal Fatigue doc in St Louis that is not in a concierge program for Pete sake. Been to Schoenwalder office saw Kristina she is not knowledgeable about treating adrenal issues without an RX! I have been numerous times complaining of exhaustion and no energy and showed them previous tests of low morning cortisol and previous diagnosis of adrenal exhaustion and they never addressed or set me on recovery program. I have no faith in them!

Mitochondria
by: Schmoe

Hi I commented years ago on here. I've been to many doctors in St. Louis and Illinois. None have really been able to help much since I'm sensitive to what seems like everything and supplements make me worse. Changing my diet has helped though. I've been following health gurus and doctors online now mostly. People like Wendy Myers, Ari Whitten, Dr. Kalish, Dr. Jack Kruse. I'm starting The Energy Blueprint program by Ari Whitten and am seeing some benefits so far. I fixed my sleep with it. I was waking up wide awake at like 4 or 5am every night and that effected my brain and energy pretty badly. I take Pectasol C which was recommended by Wendy Myers. It binds heavy metals and chemicals and removes them from the body slowly. The removal of those toxins reduces fatigue and improves mitochondria. Mitochondria is the new focus for treating fatigue. I recommend everyone look into mitochondria and practitioners who know about it.

Hi! I saw below someone already suggested a doctor but i can not get into him; he is not accepting new patients. Does anyone else know of an adrenal fatigue doctor? I went to a mainstream and he didn’t seem to believe in it much!

Hello,
I am also suffering from adrenal fatigue-about two years now, after some major life altering events. I am relocating in October to Missouri from California and was very glad to see this site. I will be looking these doctors up for a consultation. Please keep posting any information that you get, as we who are suffering do appreciate it. God bless you!!!

St Louis, Missouri adrenal/thyroid doc!! takes insurance!!
by: Jill

Dr. Michael Schoenwalder, D.O.
Phone: (314) 721-2140
1585 Woodlake Dr. #104
Chesterfield, MO 63017

Dr Schoenwaleder is awesome!! He understands adrenal fatigue and subclinical hypothyroid issues. He also takes insurance after the first visit. The initial evaluation was $250.00 but after that insurance covers the visits. He is very kind, patient and nice!! He listens to symptoms and not just the labs.

Please tell him Jill N. referred you :)

RE: doctor insurance

This is the person who posted about Dr. Rathod. She doesn't do insurance however she provides forms for filling out to send to insurance companies.

In this situation a person should first ask their insurance company if they will cover all or any costs from the doctor.

Dr. Rathod
by: Anonymous

Dr. Rathod at Preventive Medicine will do blood, saliva, and urine tests to check on many things in the body which includes cortisol levels throughout the day, DHEA, hormones, nutrient levels, etc.

She has been the best so far that I've found in the area.
